Gina Field has been recognised as the 2026 Penrith Local Woman of the Year as part of the NSW Government’s annual Local Women of the Year Awards. The award, presented to outstanding women nominated by their local Member of Parliament, acknowledges individuals who have made a meaningful and lasting contribution to their electorate. Gina was nominated by Karen McKeown OAM, the Member for Penrith, and was formally presented with her award at a recent ceremony.

As the Founder and Managing Director of Nepean Regional Security, Gina has built a business that is firmly rooted in the Penrith community. But her impact extends well beyond the boardroom. Over the years, Gina has dedicated considerable time and energy to causes that uplift those around her — from Youth Empowerment Day and the Penrith Community Kitchen, to Pink Up Penrith and Penrith International Women’s Day. Her involvement in these initiatives reflects a genuine commitment to community wellbeing, inclusion, and the empowerment of others.

This recognition is a testament to the work of so many people who show up, day after day, not for accolades but because they believe in the place they call home. For Gina, Penrith is not just a location — it is a community she has invested in and championed through her business, her volunteering, and her advocacy. Being named Local Woman of the Year sits alongside a broader story of leadership, service, and connection.
Gina has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Karen McKeown OAM for the nomination, acknowledging the significance of being seen and celebrated by those who represent the community at a government level. This award is a well-deserved acknowledgement of the quiet, consistent, and impactful work that Gina has contributed to the Penrith region.
